Pan-European communications and marketing group Hasgrove has further enlarged its digital solutions with the acquisition of part of the trade of Cheshire based online specialist Amaze. The business will continue to be run independently.
Hasgrove is best known in Manchester as the company behind PR and advertising firm Connectpoint, and design agency, The Chase.
The move follows Hasgrove’s recent acquisition of two independent North West digital companies, Pavilion Communication Services in Wilmslow and Altrincham based Odyssey Interactive, in separate deals worth a total of approximately £13.6m.
Head-quartered in Manchester, with offices in London and Northern Europe, this morning’s announcement means Hasgrove now employs over 350 people. The move is in line with the company’s strategy to acquire and develop a comprehensive portfolio of brand leaders in high growth areas.
Hasgrove chief executive Rod Hyde comments: “The core of the Amaze business has been very successful for many years. It has great staff and a strong proposition which attracts high profile international clients.
“We believe that by becoming part of the Hasgrove group, Amaze will flourish and help accelerate Hasgrove’s position as one of the largest digital solutions businesses outside London.”
“This is an exceptional opportunity for us to accelerate the development of our digital capabilities. It catapults us into the top 10 in the UK market at least a year ahead of our expectations. Following our acquisition of Pavilion in September, we now have two substantial complementary businesses in digital marketing covering a range of industry sectors.”
Amaze chief executive Peter Cookson said: "We are delighted with the news as we have strength in the clients and staff within the business and have a great opportunity to flourish by being part of the Hasgrove group."
